Job Title: Quality Project Team Leader

At Leonardo, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Project Team Leader to join our Servicing and Support line of business (CS3) based in Edinburgh.

Job Summary:

The Quality Project Team Leader will be responsible for interacting at Programme and Integrated Project Team (IPT) level, working in partnership with Programme and Project Managers to identify programme and project risks, threats, and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Agree Project Assurance Plans (PAP) defining project assurance activities aligned to Risk, Opportunity, and Improvement within the Programme and associated Pro-operating in line with the requirements of the Operational Framework.
  • Manage Programme and Project Risks, Threats, and Opportunities to reduce impact on Programme and Project.
  • Provide leadership to the Assurance Teams in order to meet Programme and IPT objectives.
  • Lead the Assurance function's improvement plans across all phases of the Programme, Product, and Project Lifecycle.
  • Mentor and coach in order to grow Quality excellence within the Programme.
  • Represent the Quality function at a senior level with Programme Customers.
  • Achieve project assurance milestones within the Programme, Product, and Project lifecycle.
  • Deliver reports and supporting data to the Programme, Project, and function as required.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree [or equivalent] in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly complex industry.
  • Demonstrate Governance and knowledge within the areas of AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in applying Quality Tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Pattern Fault Lifecycle, Process Mapping, Verification, and First Article Inspection.
  • Be a logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that support business goals, in 'the language of the business'.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
  • Demonstrate experience in working with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Demonstrate experience of developing a team, mentoring, and coaching.
