Quality Assurance Manager

At Leonardo, we are seeking a Quality Team Lead to join our Servicing and Support line of business (CS3) based in Edinburgh.
The CS3 line of business is uniquely positioned to service our world-leading radars, lasers, and infra-red countermeasure systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and manage programme and project risks, threats, and opportunities.
- Develop and agree Project Assurance Plans (PAP) defining project assurance activities aligned to Risk, Opportunity, and Improvement within the Programme.
- Manage programme and project risks, threats, and opportunities to reduce impact on Programme and Project.
- Provide leadership to the Assurance Teams to meet Programme and IPT objectives.
- Lead the Assurance function's improvement plans across all phases of the Programme, Product, and Project Lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach to grow Quality excellence within the Programme.
- Represent the Quality function at a senior level with Programme Customers.
- Achieve project assurance milestones within the Programme, Product, and Project lifecycle.
- Deliver reports and supporting data to the Programme, Project, and function as required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or experience in Defence Electronics or a similarly complex industry.
- Demonstrate governance and knowledge within the areas of AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous Improvement.
- Demonstrate knowledge in applying Quality Tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Pattern Fault Lifecycle, Process Mapping, Verification, and First Article Inspection.
- Logical thinker capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that support business goals.
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
- Demonstrate experience in working with Customers and Suppliers.
- Demonstrate experience of developing a team, mentoring, and coaching.
