Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager at Leonardo

Leonardo is a renowned global high-tech company specializing in Aerospace, Defence, and Security, with a strong presence in the UK.

The Radar and Advanced Targeting division in Edinburgh is a leading manufacturer of radars, lasers, and infra-red countermeasure systems worldwide.

As a Quality Assurance Manager at Leonardo, you will work closely with Programme and Project Managers to:

  • Identify specific programme and project risks, threats, and opportunities.
  • Agree on Project Assurance Plans (PAP) aligned with the Operational Framework standards.
  • Manage Programme and Project Risks effectively.
  • Lead Assurance Teams to achieve Programme and IPT objectives.
  • Mentor and coach teams for Quality excellence within the Programme.
  • Represent the Quality function at a senior level with Programme Customers and Suppliers.
  • Achieve project assurance milestones.
  • Deliver reports and supporting data as needed.
  • Drive the reduction of Sector Non-Conformance costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize programme and project risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams to achieve quality excellence.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Programme Customers and Suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance, Programme Management, or related field.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, such as AS9100 and ISO9001.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
