About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Plant Operator at Biogen, a leading provider of anaerobic digestion (AD) solutions. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our AD plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager in the safe operation of the AD plant, including loading and sorting of feedstocks via Telehandler.
  • Conduct data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Perform site general housekeeping, including maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and equipment overhaul.
  • Work unsupervised for periods of time and be undeterred by physical dirty work.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in a related process industry, preferably with a qualification or experience in Telehandler, confined spaces, working at heights, and first aid.
  • Ability to follow procedure and protocol, with experience of cost control and working within budget.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and a great team player, with the ability to work independently.
  • Desirable: experience of environmental, safety, and quality management systems.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary up to £28,000 per annum dependent on experience.
  • Allowance and overtime paid for approved additional hours worked.
  • 23 days leave (equivalent to 6.6 weeks holiday).
