About the Role

Building Design Partnership (BDP) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Design Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic London team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects within the Parliamentary and Major Healthcare sectors, leveraging your expertise in design management, commercial acumen, and project delivery.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive design delivery plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Monitor ongoing design activities, proactively identifying potential challenges and implementing solutions to maintain project momentum.
  • Collaborate closely with commercial and design management teams to manage costs, contracts, and budgets effectively.
  • Contribute to risk registers, identifying and mitigating potential risks throughout the design process.
  • Create detailed design programs, tracking progress against milestones and communicating updates to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication between the design team, clients, and project management teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
  • Drive project delivery from inception to completion, utilizing your expertise to guide the BDP team and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Provide regular progress reports to BDP directors, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Manage change requests, assessing their impact on the project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Contribute to monthly project reporting cycles, providing comprehensive updates on cost, fee, and schedule performance.
