Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled Asset Reliability Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the performance of our Drinking Water Services assets through meticulous data collection, evaluation, and analysis. You will play a crucial part in the planning and execution of maintenance programs and enhancements across our water supply network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess the performance of Drinking Water Service assets, regularly reviewing maintenance strategies.
  • Identify necessary asset improvements and prepare funding applications for enhancements.
  • Prioritize health and safety in all asset-related activities, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee the Network Maintenance technicians, coordinating daily tasks and providing updates on project progress.
  • Maintain accurate records related to asset management and operational activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive risk assessments for network operations, including repairs and installations.
  • Collaborate with planning teams to ensure adequate staffing levels for operational demands.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations affecting operational activities.
  • Engage with stakeholders to minimize disruption during project execution.
  • Support the achievement of operational performance targets through effective resource management.
  • Coordinate with the Network Asset Manager to optimize resource allocation and operational methods.
  • Share best practices and insights with colleagues to enhance overall performance.
  • Work alongside the Asset Management Team to develop strategic maintenance programs.
  • Provide essential support during emergencies affecting Drinking Water Services.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, authorities, and colleagues.
  • Act as a deputy for the Network Asset Manager when required.
  • Participate in on-call duties as needed.
  • Aim for professional development within the organization.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent, including Maths, English, and a Science subject; or relevant health and safety qualifications.
  • Experience in water distribution operations and management.
  • Technical knowledge of water network systems and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office and corporate systems.
  • Ability to assess operational requirements and interpret complex data.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a changing environment.
  • Valid UK Driver's License.
