Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Asset Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for those who are passionate about contributing to the community while working for an environmentally conscious employer. You will be employed on a full-time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary in line with our progression scheme, along with opportunities for standby and overtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the performance of Drinking Water Services assets through systematic data collection, evaluation, and analysis.
  • Assist in designing and implementing planned maintenance programs and capital enhancements across the asset network.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement to ensure the water supply network operates reliably and efficiently, aligning with our business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, prioritizing the welfare of all personnel involved in asset operations.
  • Supervise Network Maintenance technicians, coordinating daily tasks and providing updates on project progress.
  • Maintain comprehensive records related to asset management activities.
  • Prepare detailed risk assessments and method statements for network operations.
  • Collaborate with planning teams to ensure adequate staffing levels for operational demands.
  • Engage with stakeholders to minimize disruption during asset works.
  • Support the achievement of operational performance targets through effective resource management.
  • Coordinate with various teams to develop a strategic work program for maintenance and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support during emergencies affecting Drinking Water Services.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers, public authorities, and colleagues.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the company's vision.

Qualifications:
  • 5 GCSEs at grades A-C or equivalent, including Maths, English, and a Science subject; or relevant health and safety qualifications.
  • Experience in water distribution operations and management.
  • Technical knowledge of water network operations and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including MS Office and corporate platforms.
  • Ability to assess street work requirements and asset enhancements.
  • Strong map reading and surveying skills.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a changing environment.
  • Valid UK Driver's License.
