Position Overview

As an Automation Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, commissioning, and enhancement of automated assembly lines and machinery. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project lifecycle, from design tailored to client specifications to HMI design and implementation. You will be tasked with creating and programming sophisticated automation solutions, including installation at client facilities.

In this role, you will develop a functional design specification and collaborate on multi-line projects as part of a dedicated team. Additionally, you will engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in programming automated production systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of PLC and HMI design and implementation
• Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal and Step 7
• Proficiency in ladder, graph, and SCL programming languages, along with experience in Siemens WinCC, Allen Bradley, and Rockwell software
• Advanced understanding of pneumatic safety principles and design, with experience in resistance welding and compliance with electrical and safety standards
• Strong grasp of motion control systems and robotic integration, with the ability to troubleshoot issues on automated manufacturing lines
• Previous experience in automotive tier 1 manufacturing is advantageous, as well as knowledge of Industry 4.0 principles.
