About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Category Analyst to join our purchasing team at JJ Food Service. As a Category Analyst, you will play a crucial role in assisting our team in all aspects of inventory management for your assigned category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure seamless inventory management and reduce wastage of perishable products.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock availability, identify trends, and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels.
  • Assist with New Product Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products that meet customer demands.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Meet KPIs: Achieve annual target plans and meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including product turnover and margin targets.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with suppliers and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Interest in Food and Drink: Possess a genuine interest in the food and drink industry, with a passion for staying up-to-date on market trends.
  • Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Data Analysis: Possess strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in a similar field.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Eligibility to Live and Work in the UK: Must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
  • English Language Skills: Possess a good standard of spoken English.
