Administrative Support Specialist


Tate recruitment is collaborating with a local authority organization in search of an Administrative Support Specialist to provide assistance within their Adult Care Services division.

Position Overview

The role of the Administrative Support Specialist involves the preparation of various documents and correspondence.
Responsibilities include updating and generating reports, assisting in the compilation of information for statutory returns, and managing and tracking expenditures.
Providing professional support to Senior Officers and Managers in handling confidential and sensitive matters is essential, as is serving as the first point of contact for telephone inquiries and information requests.
Additionally, the role encompasses a variety of administrative tasks such as note-taking, filing, faxing, scanning, and photocopying, along with managing general matters including cash handling, correspondence, invoices, and timesheets.
Coordination of team commitments to prevent scheduling conflicts, as well as arranging meetings and training sessions, including venues and agendas, is also part of the role.
Supervision of the workload of the Assistant Support Specialist, providing cover during absences, is expected.

Qualifications and Skills Required

To be considered for the Administrative Support Specialist position, candidates must be adept at handling sensitive and confidential information.
Ideal applicants will possess strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Confidence in serving as the initial point of contact for colleagues and external trainers, along with excellent customer service abilities, is crucial.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to ensure effective communication across all levels of staff and management.
