We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our dynamic team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional clinical care in Emergency Medicine, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor junior medical and nursing staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the strategic development and management of the Emergency Medicine service, driving innovation and excellence.
- Develop and maintain specialist interests within the field, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices.
- Collaborate with medical colleagues from other specialties to ensure seamless care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 coverage and support to the team.
- Supervise and develop trainee doctors, fostering their growth and professional development.

Entry Criteria- Registered on the GMC Specialist Register, with a strong track record of clinical excellence.
- Ability to teach and provide leadership, with a passion for mentoring and developing others.
- Extensive clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, with a deep understanding of the specialty.
- Commitment to clinical risk and governance, with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Medical qualification (MBBS, MBChB), with a strong foundation in Emergency Medicine.
- FRCEM certification, demonstrating expertise in the field.
- ALS certification, ensuring proficiency in advanced life support.
- ATLS certification, showcasing knowledge of advanced trauma life support.
- APLS certification, highlighting skills in advanced pediatric life support.
- Safeguarding Children training, demonstrating a commitment to child protection.
