About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to join our team at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust. As a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as an independent prescriber to optimize medicine regimes for patients
  • Be part of a team of highly specialized clinical pharmacists delivering a high level of clinical pharmacy input to the Cardiology wards
  • Act as a role model for, and be responsible for developing core competencies of any pharmacist working in the cardiology setting
  • Work with the Pharmacist Team Leader - Clinical Services (Medicine and Emergency Care Division) and Governance regarding the operational management and strategic development of pharmaceutical services
Requirements
  • Honours Degree in Pharmacy / MPharm
  • Registration with the GPhC as a pharmacist
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent (completed both year 1 and year 2)
  • Relevant post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy
  • Experience of supervision of staff
  • Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
