Lead Pharmacist, Medicines Value and Transformation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacist to join our team as a Lead Pharmacist, Medicines Value and Transformation Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Integrated Care Board and contribute to the development of our medicines optimisation strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert knowledge and guidance on medicines optimisation and transformation to the Integrated Care Board and its member practices.
- Lead the development and implementation of medicines value and transformation projects, working closely with stakeholders to identify and address areas for improvement.
- Support the Head of Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation in the development and delivery of the Medicines Optimisation Strategy, including deputising for them as necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Integrated Care Board, primary and secondary care, and other commissioned providers to promote best practice in medicines use and develop new processes and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of medicines optimisation initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
- Master's Degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent qualification.
- Member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience in clinical pharmacy.
- Higher degree in clinical pharmacy, prescribing science, or equivalent.
- Ability to drive and hold a current driving license.
- Experience of project management principles, techniques, and tools, such as Prince 2 and Managing Successful Projects.
- Developed communication skills, including the ability to deliver key messages to a range of stakeholders, including senior leaders.
- Good presentational skills, including the ability to convey complex concepts and deliver educational events.
- Ability to use informed persuasion to influence others and change behaviours.
- Ability to identify risks, anticipate issues, and create solutions, and to resolve problems in relation to project or service delivery.
- Team working skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Ability to move between details and the bigger picture, and to demonstrate honesty and integrity.
- Embracing change and viewing it as an opportunity to learn and develop.
