Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced computational chemist and leader to head our Computational Chemistry team. As Head of Computational Chemistry and Drug Discovery, you will be responsible for leading a team of computational scientists in the application of computational approaches in drug discovery projects and the development of novel computational methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of computational chemists in the development and implementation of computational strategies to enhance drug discovery projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence R&D strategy and define high-quality computational approaches.
- Drive the growth and development of cutting-edge SBDD & CADD methodologies.
- Implement innovative computational solutions, such as machine learning and AI workflows, to add value in the drug design process.
- Support the growth of our computational platform by implementing machine learning and AI approaches for in silico protein design.
Requirements
- Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to lead a team of experienced computational scientists.
- Track record of impactful contributions within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
- Broad expertise in computational sciences, including structure-based drug design, ligand- and structure-based virtual screening, cheminformatics, and machine learning.
- Demonstrable technical excellence in predictive modeling, including QSAR, active learning, molecular generation, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of related disciplines, such as chemistry, biology, DMPK, and safety, with a track record of developing and implementing new scientific strategies.
- Proficiency in membrane protein structural modeling using the latest AI implementations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with scientists in other disciplines and external partners.
