Woodside Farm is a 5-bedded residential home nestled in the picturesque countryside of South Ayrshire. Our dedicated team provides a nurturing and therapeutic environment for young people who require specialized care and support. We are committed to fostering strong relationships, promoting personal growth, and empowering our residents to reach their full potential.

Your Role as a Residential Childcare Professional

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Residential Childcare Professionals. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care and support to young people with complex needs. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where residents can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships with young people, fostering trust and respect.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance, helping residents navigate challenges and develop coping mechanisms.
  • Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring a holistic approach to well-being.
  • Encourage personal growth and development through educational activities, recreational pursuits, and social interaction.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and effective support.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with children and families in a care setting is highly desirable.
  • A valid driving license is essential due to the rural location of Woodside Farm.
  • Relevant qualifications such as an HNC in Social Care, SVQ level 3 in Care, or willingness to pursue these are advantageous.
