About the Service

Woodside Farm is a 5-bed residential facility situated in a tranquil rural setting in South Ayrshire, near coastal towns. Our dedicated team fosters strong, positive relationships with young residents, creating a therapeutic environment that encourages personal growth and development.

Your Role

This position offers the chance to join a committed, trauma-informed team and work closely with young people facing various complex challenges stemming from their life experiences. Your contributions will significantly impact their outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with young individuals in a respectful and empowering manner to promote positive relationships and achievements.
  • Collaborate with team members to address the social, emotional, educational, and mental health needs of the young people.
  • Encourage participation in household tasks to help develop essential self-care skills.
  • Document review reports, conduct risk assessments, and contribute to individual care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and partner agencies to uphold the best interests of the young people.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the developmental needs of young individuals.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Driving License is essential.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with young people, parents, and professionals.
  • Proficient in producing clear, concise written reports and verbal presentations.
  • Capability to maintain composure and objectivity in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications such as HNC in Social Care or SVQ Level 3 in Care, or willingness to pursue these qualifications.
