About the Facility
Woodside Farm is a 5-bed residential home situated in a tranquil rural setting in South Ayrshire, near the picturesque coastal towns. Our team is committed to fostering strong, positive relationships, creating a therapeutic and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
Your Role
This position offers a chance to join a compassionate and trauma-informed team, working closely with young individuals facing various complex challenges stemming from their life experiences. Your contribution will be vital in enhancing the lives of these young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with young individuals in a respectful and empowering manner to promote positive relationships and achievements.
- Collaborate with team members to address the social, emotional, educational, and mental health needs of the young people.
- Encourage participation in household tasks to help develop essential self-care skills.
- Document assessments, write reports, and contribute to care plans.
- Communicate effectively with parents and partner agencies to advocate for the best interests of the young individuals.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong understanding of the developmental milestones of young people.
- Experience working with children and families.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Ability to establish positive relationships with young individuals, parents, and professionals.
- Proficient in producing clear written reports and presenting information effectively.
- Capability to maintain composure and objectivity in challenging situations.
- Relevant qualifications such as HNC in Social Care or SVQ Level 3 in Care, or willingness to pursue these qualifications.
