About the Facility

Woodside Farm is a 5-bed residential home situated in a tranquil rural setting in South Ayrshire, near the scenic coastal towns. Our dedicated team fosters a nurturing and therapeutic environment, enabling young people to build positive relationships and thrive.

Your Role

As a key member of our trauma-informed team, you will engage directly with young individuals facing a variety of complex challenges stemming from their life experiences. This position offers a unique opportunity to positively impact the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote positive relationships and encourage achievements through respectful and empowering interactions with young people.
  • Collaborate with team members to address the social, emotional, educational, and mental health needs of the young individuals.
  • Encourage participation in daily domestic tasks to help develop essential self-care skills.
  • Prepare review reports, conduct risk assessments, and contribute to individual care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and partner agencies to advocate for the best interests of the young people.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Strong understanding of the developmental needs and milestones of young individuals.
  • Experience working with children and families.
  • Valid Driving License is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and build relationships with young people, parents, and professionals.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise written reports and verbally present information effectively.
  • Capability to remain calm and objective in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications such as HNC in Social Care, SVQ Level 3 in Care, or willingness to pursue these qualifications.
