Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Assistant to join our Imaging Physics and Radiation Protection team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical and scientific support to deliver radiation assurance services across several NHS Trusts.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with duties within the Imaging Physics and Radiation Protection group, including implementing operational procedures and providing organizational support.
  • Support the radiation assurance programme, including quality assurance testing, personal dosimetry services, and radiation incident management.
  • Work closely with the team to provide scientific computing services, manage assurance, governance, and quality systems, and provide a framework to support innovation and operational services.
  • Develop and maintain effective and professional communication and working relationships with all levels of personnel within the department and the wider Trust.
  • Participate in the development and routine operation of quality management systems and policies, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, national protocols, and Trust policies.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Education to diploma level or equivalent qualification, or equivalent training, knowledge, and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of providing assurance and operational related support, preferably to scientific and technical services.
  • Understanding of NHS and healthcare in the UK setting.
  • Able to use Excel, Word, Access, etc. to set up documents and spreadsheets and extract information.
Desirable Criteria
