Role Responsibilities

As the Fashion Editor, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of the fashion landscape and your proficiency in editorial writing to lead the creation of special reports, buying guides, and editorial shoots. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Generating daily content ideas focused on fashion retail industry developments.
  • Editing features for both print and digital platforms that reflect the latest industry trends.
  • Engaging with industry leaders to source insightful comments.
  • Ensuring comprehensive coverage of the fashion features section across various sectors.
  • Overseeing the production of all fashion-related content, including features, interviews, and trend analyses.
  • Leading the creative direction for seasonal special editions and editorial photoshoots, managing all aspects from concept to execution.
  • Coordinating catwalk coverage and trend analysis.
  • Developing the strategy for seasonal trade show coverage.
  • Collaborating with the art and production teams to ensure high-quality presentation of all content.
  • Contributing to the weekly newsletter with breaking fashion retail news.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • NCTJ qualification or equivalent journalism training/experience.
  • Proven experience in managing editorial photoshoots from start to finish.
  • Strong background in writing and editing long-form features, along with interviewing senior industry figures.
