Devon County Council is seeking candidates for the position of Economic Development Coordinator within our Economy, Enterprise and Skills Service. This dynamic role is essential in facilitating the execution of skills and educational programs while also providing critical administrative support to ensure these initiatives align with the Council's strategic goals.

Role Overview:
The Economic Development Coordinator will oversee the detailed administration of skills and training initiatives, tracking their effectiveness, and ensuring robust communication with all stakeholders. This position requires a meticulous approach to manage the intricacies of project administration and the ability to articulate the significance and outcomes of our programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement administrative systems to guarantee the efficient functioning of skills initiatives. Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of skills programs, pinpointing opportunities for enhancement. Act as a point of contact for stakeholders, providing timely updates and insights on project progress. Coordinate marketing and communication strategies to showcase the successes of our skills and training efforts. Support Economic Development Officers in managing projects that prioritize key sectors and investigate funding options.

Required Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience in administrative functions with an emphasis on performance evaluation and stakeholder interaction. Outstanding organizational capabilities and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
