**Job Summary**

Devon County Council is seeking a highly organized and efficient individual to join our team as an Administration Coordinator. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and the delivery of our services.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide administrative support to the team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and maintaining records.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ordering supplies, and coordinating meetings.
  • Assist with the delivery and collection of musical instruments to schools across the county, using our company van.
  • Be the first point of contact for parents, schools, and visitors to the office, providing a professional and friendly service.
  • Perform a range of administrative and logistics planning tasks, including data entry, report writing, and budget management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with schools, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of our services.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve our goals and objectives, and contribute to the development of new initiatives and projects.

**Requirements**

  • Relevant and recent office experience, preferably in education.
  • ICT skills, including Microsoft Office, website maintenance, and stock management software.
  • Full driving license, including entitlement to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize a busy workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to undertake basic musical instrument maintenance.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Professional, calm, and friendly approach with a good sense of humor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

**Working Conditions**

This role involves daily lifting and moving of musical resources, some of which are large and/or heavy. Online searches may be conducted as part of pre-recruitment checks.
