About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at VolkerWessels UK. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of our civil engineering projects, working closely with our clients and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and growth.
  • Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained on site, and that all relevant regulations and policies are adhered to.
  • Manage the integration of civil engineering scope of work from design to construction, and ensure seamless interfaces with other disciplines on the project.
  • Develop and manage technical specifications for civil engineering works, and ensure that all tender documents are accurate and complete.
  • Manage direct and subcontract works, ensuring that all works are completed to the required quality standards and within budget.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in civil engineering project management, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, with a deep understanding of relevant regulations and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and growth.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
