Job Summary:

Intercounty Truck & Van Ltd is seeking an experienced Service Advisor to join our team at our Dunstable dealership. As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, ensuring our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner, building rapport and establishing trust.
  • Check in vehicles, including entering customer and vehicle information on internal software, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Create quotations for customers on repairs and works, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.
  • Arrange vehicle pick-up dates, times, methods, and locations with customers, providing clear communication and updates.
  • Monitor repair and works status, keeping customers informed and up-to-date on progress.
  • Explain and hand over repair and work details to the workshop team, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Perform visual inspections of vehicles before and after any works conducted, ensuring quality and attention to detail.
  • Undertake general administrative duties to ensure the smooth flow of work within the Customer Service and Workshop teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the automotive sector, preferably with a commercial vehicle focus.
  • Experience in a customer contact and customer support position, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • General IT skills, including Microsoft Office Applications, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A team player with a positive attitude, able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
