Role Summary

This position is integral to the financial oversight and strategic performance of our substantial direct cost framework. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to provide insightful analysis and reporting on key performance indicators and value drivers related to direct costs and marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with business units to evaluate and refine direct cost models, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Deliver actionable insights and analyses to assist in understanding direct cost performance relative to budgetary expectations.
  • Collaborate with finance and business teams to facilitate the annual financial planning cycle, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Generate timely and consistent reports on performance metrics and value assessments.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and rationalization.
  • Partner with marketing and other departments to assess performance metrics and their impact on revenue generation and return on investment.
  • Develop new reporting frameworks to enhance operational and marketing decision-making processes.
  • Create robust financial models and analytical tools to support direct cost investments.
  • Monitor and communicate potential risks and opportunities.
  • Work in conjunction with the Finance Control team to ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Operations team to develop system-based financial planning and analysis solutions.
  • Support the creation of automated cost reporting tools, including dashboards.
  • Ensure all financial data in relevant systems is current and accurate.
  • Provide analytical support on various business areas as directed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A part-qualified or professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) or relevant experience.
  • Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and business partnership.
  • Familiarity with financial software such as SAP, PowerBI, and Planning Analytics (TM1) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in managing large datasets and presenting complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Awareness of industry trends and accounting standards that may influence the business.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and financial modeling capabilities.
