This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced FP&A Analyst to join a reputable organisation in Abingdon on a 6-9 month fixed-term basis. Please note that this role is looking for someone to start ASAP so only candidates with immediate availability or on short notice can be considered for this position.

Description

The FP&A Analyst will:

  • Build and maintain complex Excel models for financial consolidation, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Develop advanced Excel formulae, including pivot tables and macros, to analyse and summarise financial data from monthly accounts, budget models, and financial reports
  • Consolidate financial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy, and prepare efficient reporting templates
  • Conduct variance analysis, scenario modelling, and trend analysis to provide actionable financial insights
  • Work with Finance and Analytics team on expanding the use of PowerBI reports and automation
  • Monitor key financial metrics and create PowerBI dashboards to track financial performance
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial projects and special analyses as required

Profile

The FP&A Analyst will be/have:

  • Experience in financial analysis, with a strong focus on Excel-based modelling and financial consolidation
  • Expert-level proficiency in Excel, including advanced formulae, pivot tables, and data analysis tools
  • Experience in building complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial modelling and reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful insights
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with financial planning and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBi, Hyperion, SAP BPC, Anaplan)
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements
  • Be immediately available/on short notice
