Supporting a Young Child with Special Educational Needs

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a young child with special educational needs. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils with SEND, promoting independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans for pupils with SEND
- Provide support to pupils, individually or in groups, to access the curriculum and participate in learning activities
- Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes social inclusion and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to share best practices and strategies for supporting pupils with SEND
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
