Are you a skilled teaching assistant with experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? Or perhaps you are a recent graduate eager to embark on a rewarding career in the education sector?

LTF Recruitment Ltd is currently partnering with an alternative provision in the Derby area. We seek a dedicated individual to join a supportive environment focused on delivering care and effective teaching assistance to young learners.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Collaborating with the classroom teacher to foster a positive and engaging learning atmosphere tailored for children with SEN, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
  • Establishing strong relationships with parents to facilitate ongoing development and keep them informed about their child's progress.
  • Contributing to the creation of a safe and inclusive environment that empowers students to achieve their fullest potential.
  • Assisting with small groups of students in the classroom as directed by the class teacher or site lead.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding and experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs.
  • A positive mindset and a commitment to helping students thrive.
  • The ability to adapt and fulfill various classroom roles, both indoors and outdoors, based on individual requirements.
  • A valid in-date DBS and two professional references.
