Job Title: Special Educational Needs Support Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a child with special educational needs in a Primary School in Derbyshire. The successful candidate will provide tailored 1:1 support to the child, assist with their educational and developmental needs, and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a child with special educational needs in Key Stage 1.
  • Assist with the child's educational and developmental needs.
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the child's progress.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
