Job Summary

Exact Search UK Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branded Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our merchandising department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the negotiation of cost prices with suppliers, managing critical deadlines, and participating in product CP meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the merchandising team in negotiating cost prices with suppliers to achieve department targets
  • Manage the department's critical path, ensuring timely completion of tasks and deadlines
  • Participate in product CP meetings, providing input and feedback on product development
  • Assist in creating wholesale buy sheets and preparing for weekly trade meetings
  • Analyze weekly trade reports to identify trends and opportunities for growth
  • Conduct regular comp shops to identify new and missed opportunities in the range
  • Participate in meetings, including sign-offs, strategies, and weekly trade meetings, ensuring follow-up actions are taken
  • Assist the buyer in range building, including style confirmation, colors, and product development for seasonal ranges
  • Attend key internal and customer meetings alongside the buyer, taking meeting minutes as required
  • Manage the Branded Assistant, providing training and support to the departmental BAA as needed

Requirements

  • Relevant buying experience in the fashion industry, similar to the level of the Branded Assistant role
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with teams such as Merchandising, Design, QC, and Studio
  • Commercial awareness, with the ability to interpret and adapt market trends to maximize sales
  • Keen interest in fashion and trends, with a strong understanding of the industry
  • Ability to work independently to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Driven with a strong sense of initiative, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
