A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT AND BAR OPERATIONS MANAGER

Your responsibilities will include...

As the Restaurant and Bar Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of our dining and beverage services.

Reporting directly to the general manager, your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Overseeing the daily functions of the restaurant and bar, ensuring staff management, customer satisfaction, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Training and mentoring team members in customer service, food safety, and operational protocols.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in all dining areas.
  • Addressing customer complaints and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Managing budgets, controlling expenses, and maximizing profitability.
  • Ensuring guests receive professional service in line with company standards.
  • Coaching staff to enhance sales through effective upselling techniques.
  • Developing and implementing new operational procedures within the department.
  • Supervising the training and development of all restaurant and bar personnel, ensuring they possess the skills necessary to assist guests effectively.
  • Monitoring staff performance, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and support to meet service excellence.
  • Ensuring compliance with company procedures, standards, and brand values among team members.
  • Conducting performance management and absence management according to company guidelines.
  • Resolving conflicts among employees, mediating disputes, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Acting as duty manager for the hotel as part of a rotation.
