About the Role

The Priory Group is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at the Priory Wellbeing Centre in Birmingham. As a Clinical Lead, you will be responsible for assessing and treating a diverse outpatient population, overseeing the care of inpatients within your specialty, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and psychologists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat patients with a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, and addictions.
  • Oversee the care of inpatients within your specialty, ensuring that they receive high-quality treatment and support.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and psychologists to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Engage in quality improvement and governance activities to ensure that our services meet the highest standards.
  • Expand your practice in alignment with the Priory Group's prestigious reputation, building strong relationships with professional colleagues and referral sources.
  • Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements, staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health.

Requirements

  • GMC registration with relevant specialist registration.
  • Experience in psychiatry and substance misuse, with a strong understanding of Clinical Governance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Successful completion of a DBS check, funded by the Priory Group.
