About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our team at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our senior pharmacy management team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our clinical pharmacy service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver the day-to-day clinical pharmacy service to surgical wards through a team approach across the service.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Clinical Pharmacy KPIs to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the clinical pharmacy service.
  • Support the development and implementation of Trust Medicines policies, systems, and processes.
  • Lead on clinical service development and provide support to wider trust initiatives regarding medicines.
  • Act as a senior leader within the pharmacy department, deputising for the Chief/Deputy Chief pharmacist as required.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to Foundation Pharmacists and Band 6/7 Clinical Pharmacists.
  • Act as a line manager and educational supervisor.
  • Undertake research, audits, and development activities in Medicines Optimisation, Prescribing, and Pharmacy practice.
Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacist with the GPHC.
  • Successfully completed the PG Pharmacy Clinical Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Independent Prescribing Qualification (or working towards).
  • Significant experience working in an acute NHS Trust.
