Clinical Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead to join our Pharmacy Department at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our senior pharmacy management team, you will play a vital role in leading and delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services to our surgical wards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver the day-to-day clinical pharmacy service to surgical wards through a team approach across the service.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Clinical Pharmacy KPIs to ensure the quality and effectiveness of the clinical pharmacy service within pharmacy and the wider trust.
- Support the Chief and Deputy Chief Pharmacists in the development and implementation of the Trust's Medicines policies, systems, and processes.
- Lead on clinical service development and provide support to the wider trust initiatives regarding medicines, working closely with other colleagues such as the Medication Safety Officer, Antimicrobial Pharmacist, and Education Lead Pharmacist.
- Act as a senior leader within the pharmacy department, deputising for the Chief/Deputy Chief Pharmacist as required.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentoring to Foundation Pharmacists and Band 6/7 Clinical Pharmacists.
- Act as a line manager and educational supervisor.
- Undertake research, audits, and development activities in Medicines Optimisation, Prescribing, and Pharmacy practice to ensure continual progression of services and achievement of nationally agreed targets.
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC).
- Successfully completed the PG Pharmacy Clinical Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Independent Prescribing Qualification (or working towards).
- Significant experience working in an acute NHS Trust.
