The Role

Our client is in search of a skilled Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team as they transition from prototype development to full-scale manufacturing.

The electric vehicles being developed are designed for both on-road and off-road capabilities, presenting unique challenges from a development standpoint.

However, they benefit from rapid feedback cycles, high-quality data acquisition, and an iterative development methodology.

Your responsibilities will include designing and constructing electrical systems that require custom components such as harnesses and high/low voltage integrations.

You will collaborate with procurement teams to ensure suppliers meet specifications, establishing robust protocols for verification, testing, and installation.

In the upcoming months, the company aims to significantly increase production and the number of vehicles available in the market, necessitating a strategic approach. You will be responsible for implementing effective processes as they transition into batch production.

While still in the development phase, they now possess a solid foundation of real-world data and driver feedback to guide decision-making.

You will serve as a vital link with other cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the project roadmap.

This is a dynamic start-up environment where every team member contributes to achieving collective goals.

Experience Needed

  • Extensive experience in EV electrical architecture systems.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and teams effectively.
  • Experience in designing testing and release processes in previous roles.
  • Proficiency in Matlab Simulink and Vector Canape; familiarity with Simulink is essential, and training on Canape will be provided.
  • A solution-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude.
  • Understanding of engineering principles within an Agile framework.
  • Willingness to work onsite 2-3 days a week.
