About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering team at Forseven. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for our cutting-edge electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Interface Definition: Collaborate with system designers to define electrical interfaces with various function groups.
  • Commodity Management: Manage commodity attributes such as quality, costs, timing, and weight to ensure delivery within budget.
  • Supplier Liaison: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of electrical components and systems.
  • Design and Development: Support design and development tasks related to low-voltage wiring, fusing systems, component packaging, and electrical power distribution.
  • Harness Management: Manage the design, development, and implementation of electrical harnesses and wiring systems.
  • System Reviews: Participate in system reviews, verification, and validation activities to ensure electrical systems meet design specifications.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve electrical system issues through the company's robust 8D process.
  • Change Control Management: Manage change control processes for electrical systems and harnesses.
  • DFMEA and RQA: Conduct Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Routing Quality Assessment (RQA) to ensure electrical systems meet quality and reliability standards.
  • Supplier Management: Manage relationships with Tier 1 suppliers and coordinate with procurement, logistics, and quality teams.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to manufacturing and service departments on electrical systems and harnesses.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical systems design and development, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and harness design, as well as experience with design tools such as CATIA V5 or V6.
  • Regulations and Standards: Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, such as ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
