Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Lead Shift Engineer to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise in the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services for our critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Asset Management: Ensure that all critical infrastructure assets are in full working order, achieving relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and serving as the primary point of contact for all operational activities related to these assets.
- Planned Maintenance: Schedule and approve planned maintenance activities in advance, providing technical support to engineers as needed.
- Shift Scheduling: Ensure that shifts are scheduled and communicated in advance, including participation in an escalation process for incidents.
- Support and Training: Provide support for shift rota duties in the event of sickness absence, training, or annual leave, ensuring 24/7/52 operations.
- Analysis and Reporting: Compile and analyze data to identify areas of asset efficiency improvement, discussing findings with stakeholders.
- Training and Development: Create and conduct scenario training with the team to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Business Continuity: Identify gaps in business continuity planning and develop effective resolution plans.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven track record in managing planned and reactive maintenance services in a critical infrastructure environment, with experience in people management and subcontractor coordination.
- Leadership and Management: Excellent people management skills, with the ability to manage sub-contractors and supply chain partners.
- Health and Safety: Full understanding of current health and safety legislation and process management systems.
- Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of asset management information systems, remote monitoring integrated technology, and electrical and mechanical engineering principles.
- Education and Qualifications: Qualified electrical and/or mechanical engineer, with relevant certifications (e.g., BS7671, City & Guilds Engineer, ONC, Building Services, etc.).
- Communication and IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
