Position Overview

Role: Service and Strategic Partnerships Manager

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Chief Executive to ensure that our organization effectively addresses the needs of all stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing Project Leads, Infrastructure Support, and Core Staff to fulfill contracts and agreements.
  • Leading the development and execution of service and business strategies.
  • Ensuring the efficient operational management of WVCA.
  • Creating a comprehensive business plan and fundraising strategy to secure funding and manage its implementation.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in senior management within the Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise, and Faith Sector (VCSEF) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in policy and procedure development.
  • Expertise in strategic/business planning and line management.
  • Marketing and promotional experience.
  • Experience working with public sector funding and commissioning agencies.
  • Strong project planning and management skills.
  • A background in engaging with diverse communities, demonstrating a commitment to equality and fostering positive working relationships.
Leadership and Management

You will provide robust operational management of WVCA project leads, infrastructure, and core staff. Your leadership will be crucial in:

  • Securing additional financial resources through a well-defined funding strategy and enterprise opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing a marketing strategy to promote organizational growth.
  • Collaborating with external partners and funding agencies to ensure the delivery of required support and services.
  • Reviewing and overseeing performance management processes to meet stakeholder needs.
Organizational Development

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure the organization maintains best practices in service provision within the VCSEF sector.
  • Produce a Business Plan outlining objectives, targets, and priorities, including a financial and funding strategy.
  • Monitor and assess progress against the Business Plan and contracts.
  • Promote and implement an Equality and Diversity framework and Health and Safety Policy.
  • Stay informed about changing legislation and performance expectations relevant to the organization’s work.
  • Establish effective procedures for successful project delivery.
  • Conduct regular staff supervision and training as agreed with the Chief Executive.
