Position Overview
The Governors and Head are seeking to appoint a proactive, financially savvy, and commercially focused Chief Finance and Operating Officer (CFOO). This role presents a unique opportunity to collaborate with a new Head and the Governing Body to guide Stamford's future development. The CFOO will play a pivotal role in shaping the School's strategic direction, overseeing financial, operational, and professional services.

Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Core Executive Team, the CFOO will:

  • Lead a team of 110 staff members.
  • Drive and manage organizational change to ensure financial sustainability and commercial success.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to the Head and Governing Body.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in financial control, strategic planning, and operational execution within large, complex organizations.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Outstanding analytical and business skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, striving for excellence in all endeavors.

While prior experience in the education sector is not mandatory, candidates from commercial, charitable, private, and public sectors are encouraged to apply. A genuine understanding of independent education and a commitment to the ethos and values of Stamford School are essential.

Compensation
A competitive remuneration package, including fee remission, will be offered to the successful candidate.
