Position Overview
The Governors and Head are in search of a proactive, financially savvy, and commercially focused Chief Finance and Operating Officer (CFOO). This pivotal role involves acting as the strategic and commercial advisor to the School, providing an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with a new Head and the Governing Body in shaping the future direction of Stamford School.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and influence the School's strategic initiatives.
- Oversee financial management, operational efficiency, and professional services.
- Lead a dedicated team of 110 professionals, ensuring effective change management.
- Contribute to the Core Executive Team, driving the School's financial and commercial success.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior leadership, financial oversight, strategic planning, and operational execution within large, multifaceted organizations. While a formal accounting qualification is not mandatory, the CFOO should demonstrate collaborative leadership and strategic insight, complemented by exceptional analytical and business acumen.
Communication and Commitment
As an outstanding communicator, the CFOO will be dedicated to excellence and capable of operating with agility. Previous experience in the education sector is not essential; however, candidates from commercial, charitable, private, and public sectors are encouraged to apply, provided they resonate with the ethos and values of independent education.
Compensation
A competitive remuneration package, including fee remission, will be offered to the successful candidate.
