About the Role: On behalf of a leading further education college, we are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead the human resources function. This pivotal role is crucial in aligning HR strategies with the college's goals and mission, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusiveness, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the college's vision and mission.
- Lead the HR team in establishing best practices, policies, and procedures for talent management, employee relations, and other HR functions.
- Employee Engagement And Culture:
- Design and implement comprehensive employee engagement programs, including recognition, rewards, and development initiatives.
- Foster a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture through targeted programs and initiatives.
- Performance Management And Compliance:
- Oversee the development of performance management systems that enhance employee engagement and career development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Resource And Workforce Planning:
- Develop and manage HR budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to execute workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies to meet the college's needs.
- Technology And Analytics:
- Manage HR systems and leverage technology to support the college's HR functions.
- Utilize data analytics to drive informed decision-making and support business objectives.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in human resources leadership roles and in senior executive positions.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong business acumen with strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proven leadership in building and leading successful HR teams.
- Expertise in designing and implementing innovative HR programs.
- In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
- Strong analytical and financial management skills.
- Experience in partnering with senior leaders on strategic HR initiatives.
- Proficiency in HR technology and data analytics.
