Position Overview
The Board of Governors and the Head are seeking to appoint a proactive, financially savvy, and commercially focused Chief Finance and Operating Officer (CFOO). This pivotal role involves serving as the strategic and commercial advisor to the School, presenting an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a new Head and the Governing Body in shaping the future of Stamford School.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the School's strategic vision.
- Oversee financial, operational, and professional services.
- Lead a dedicated team of 110 staff members.
- Drive change initiatives to ensure financial sustainability and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in senior leadership roles, demonstrating expertise in financial oversight, strategic planning, and operational execution within large and complex organizations. While a formal accounting qualification is not mandatory, the successful applicant will be a collaborative leader with strong analytical and business acumen.
Communication and Leadership Skills
As an exceptional communicator, the CFOO will be committed to achieving excellence and will operate with a sense of urgency. Previous experience in the education sector is not essential; however, candidates from commercial, charitable, private, and public sectors are encouraged to apply, provided they resonate with the ethos and values of independent education.
Compensation
A competitive remuneration package, including fee remission, will be offered to the successful candidate.
