Hours: 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
Rate: £20 - £24 per hour, depending on pay status
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Neighbourhood Officer to join our team at Id Product, a specialist domestic abuse charity. As a Neighbourhood Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality customer services and management services to our tenants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Act as an ambassador, providing excellent customer service to tenants, partner agencies, housing benefit, and DWP offices, ensuring compliance with arrears and income policies at all times.
- Neighbourhood Surgeries: Organise and participate in neighbourhood surgeries, taking a proactive approach to meeting housing management service requirements.
- Service Delivery: Ensure that all neighbourhood management services are delivered in accordance with specified standards and agreed policies and procedures to the tenants within your area of responsibility.
- Complaints and Queries: Take ownership and responsibility for any service-related complaints/queries from customers, ensuring a positive, professional, and timely customer experience.
- Community Engagement: Identify and get to know various agencies, groups, and businesses in the local area that can support our tenants' goals.
- Referrals and Signposting: Proactively connect customers with these organisations, using coaching skills to help customers make these connections for themselves.
- Benefit and Housing Issues: Liaise with local authority, housing benefit, and DWP to address any relevant problems experienced by tenants regarding their benefits or housing-related issues.
- Abandoned Properties and Tenancy Fraud: Identify and deal with abandoned properties and tenancy fraud.
- Management Agreements: Support the Head of Housing & Income Services with delivery against all Management Agreements and joint working with other landlords.
- Issue Reporting: Keep the Head of Housing & Income Services informed about issues arising within your patch and agree appropriate courses of action to resolve complex estate and tenancy management matters.
- Legal Action: Take legal action when appropriate for any breaches of Tenancy.
- Health and Safety: Comply with all aspects of the Association's Health and Safety policy.
- Requirements:
- Strong experience of Social Housing Management.
- DBS on the update service.
- Full driving licence with own vehicle.
