Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessments, advice, and signposting to community services, as well as implementing evidence-based targeted interventions and groups. Your expertise will be essential in promoting resilience, prevention, and early intervention to children and young people in the community.

As a CAMHS Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Representing CAMHS in multi-agency meetings, having oversight of mental health elements.
  • Participating in the delivery of community services, maintaining standards of care to the highest level within available resources.
  • Liaising effectively with other CAMHS pathways and maintaining confidentiality in respect of young people at all times.

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • At least 3 years post-qualification experience of working with children and young people within mental health or equivalent.
  • Professional registration relevant to qualification (e.g., NMC).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good organisational skills, and ability to prioritise.
  • Experience in assessing mental health assessments, including risk management.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, self-motivating, and knowledge of legislation and policies relating to children's mental health.

We offer a range of benefits, including protected CPD time, various development pathways, and ongoing regular training packages for all staff. If you are passionate about supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
