About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at St Christopher's Fellowship. As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with young people, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will be responsible for providing support, liaison with other professionals, and completing support documents to record information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring the needs of young people are met.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £29,750 to £31,401 per annum, depending on experience.
  • A comprehensive training program, including access to level 3 qualifications and industry-leading training.
  • A contributory pension scheme and enhanced maternity and company sick scheme.
  • A friendly working environment, with a fun, open, and honest culture.
  • 25 days' holiday rising to 27 days after 3 years' service, plus Bank Holidays, pro-rata.
Requirements
  • At least one year's experience of working with young people.
  • Genuine commitment to working and supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
  • An understanding of the issues facing young people.
  • Knowledge of the leaving care legislation and benefits system.
  • The ability to cope effectively with challenging behavior.
  • Good communication and team working skills.
