Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in the financial analysis of business sectors to prepare for the business planning processes.
- Identify sustainable cost-saving targets and initiatives as part of the business planning cycle, while understanding and articulating the impact of reforms on the organization.
- Support the development of business cases through financial scrutiny and the identification of commercial implications of various options.
- Enhance financial and commercial awareness among non-financial staff within the organization.
- Assist the Head of Professional Services Finance Business Partnering by attending relevant meetings and forums, providing practical and operational insights.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Exhibits exceptional communication skills, particularly when conveying complex financial information to a non-financial audience.
- Possesses the ability to influence senior management to achieve the expected financial outcomes for their respective areas.
- Skilled in networking, both internally and externally, and adept at building relationships at all organizational levels.
- Capable of analyzing extensive data sets and producing summaries that yield clear insights.
- Maintains a commercial perspective on finance while understanding the non-financial objectives of the University.
- Able to operate independently within a large and intricate organization.
- Holds a first degree or equivalent qualification and/or is a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent).
