Finance Business Partner Specialist

About the Role:
A key Finance Business Partner role, reporting to the Head of Finance, is available at a leading Retail Group in Manchester. As a genuine Business Partner, you will work with senior stakeholders and budget owners across the business, focusing on Central Costs, such as IT spend and Transformation Project costs. You will provide financial insight to the senior management team on the performance of key transformational projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and own the group central costs budget and ongoing forecasts, providing insight and holding the business to account to achieve its financial targets.
• Own the monthly review of cost base performance, making sure that optimisation initiatives are tracked, and delivery is understood.
• Develop insights to enable business teams to better manage and understand their spend and lead efforts to prioritise and align relevant projects with corporate strategic goals.
• Ensure the team has strong commercial insight and help drive consistency into all aspects of processes and reporting.
Requirements:
• A fully qualified accountant with previous experience of a Finance Business Partner role in a large and complex business.
• Highly commercial in outlook, with strong FP&A and partnering skills.
• Strong organisational skills and a flexible approach, comfortable working accurately at pace and with changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bring financial information to life in a compelling way.
• The ability to build strong relationships with colleagues at all levels.
