About the Role

Your new company is a leading Retail Group in Manchester, seeking a key Finance Business Partner role, reporting to the Head of Finance. As a genuine Business Partner, you will work with senior stakeholders and budget owners across the business, focusing on Central Costs, such as IT spend and Transformation Project costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial insight to the senior management team on the performance of key transformational projects.
  • Coordinate and own the group central costs budget and ongoing forecasts, providing insight and holding the business to account to achieve its financial targets.
  • Own the monthly review of cost base performance, making sure that optimisation initiatives are tracked, and delivery is understood.
  • Develop insights to enable business teams to better manage and understand their spend and lead efforts to prioritise and align relevant projects with corporate strategic goals.
Requirements
  • You will be a fully qualified accountant with previous experience of a Finance Business Partner role in a large and complex business.
  • Highly commercial in outlook, you will have strong FP&A and partnering skills.
  • With strong organisational skills and a flexible approach, you'll be comfortable working accurately at pace and with changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bring financial information to life in a compelling way.
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to spot trends in data and apply broader business and market context, to make sense of complex data.
