About the Role

A key Finance Business Partner role, reporting to the Head of Finance, is available at a leading Retail Group in Manchester. As a genuine Business Partner, you will work with senior stakeholders and budget owners across the business to focus on Central Costs, such as IT spend and Transformation Project costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial insight to the senior management team on the performance of key transformational projects.
  • Coordinate and own the group central costs budget and ongoing forecasts, providing insight and holding the business to account to achieve its financial targets.
  • Own the monthly review of cost base performance, making sure that optimisation initiatives are tracked, and delivery is understood.
  • Develop insights to enable business teams to better manage and understand their spend and lead efforts to prioritise and align relevant projects with corporate strategic goals.
  • Ensure the team has strong commercial insight and help drive consistency into all aspects of processes and reporting.
Requirements
  • A fully qualified accountant with previous experience of a Finance Business Partner role in a large and complex business.
  • Highly commercial in outlook, with strong FP&A and partnering skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and a flexible approach, comfortable working accurately at pace and with changing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bring financial information to life in a compelling way.
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to spot trends in data and apply broader business and market context, to make sense of complex data.
