The Role: Senior Residential Youth Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Residential Youth Support Worker to join our team in providing nurturing and supportive environments for young people in our care. You will play a vital role in helping these vulnerable individuals overcome adversity and build a brighter future.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support and guidance to young people, assisting them with their daily living skills, emotional well-being, and educational pursuits.
  • Collaborate with the Deputy Manager and Home Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the residential home, upholding high standards of care and safety.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, addressing the unique needs and challenges of each young person.
  • Build strong relationships with young people, their families (where appropriate), and external agencies involved in their support network.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children and young people in a residential setting.
  • QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification or equivalent (in line with Ofsted requirements).
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
